I’ve been on the lookout for beautiful prints that can add some bright pops of color & inspiration to our babe’s nursery. As mentioned before, I’m sticking with a primarily neutral palate for her room, but I want to bring in some pops of pink to add a touch of feminine and a bit of boho with some artwork and accessories. Here are a few of my favorites — but I really can’t stop going back to Sharon Montrose’s ‘Flamingo No. 1’ Print and Britt Brass’ ‘Warm Geos’ Print! I may need to paint a few patterns for her as well!
Late this summer, I wrapped up a re-brand for the uber talented, Kayla Adams. Kayla took photos of my office for my new site, so we traded services, after she asked for help re-designing her logo. Sometimes it’s really hard to design for yourself, but sometimes I’m hesitant designing for other designers. Knowing Kayla personally, and her work, really helped. I was able to take her style and work with her in mind the entire time. She’s also in the process of updating her site to match her new brand and I can’t wait to see it live!
Hey LA/OC Friends! I want to invite you to join me at the Madewell Pasadena store for their Dress Code Denim Event, tomorrow night, Thursday November 14th from 6-8pm.
Stop in and say hi, try on Madewell’s newest denim, as well as all their other fall pieces, have some treats, bubbly and listen to some music!
I would love to see you all! Hope to see you there!
Last week we found out our little babe is a girl! We’re so excited! It really makes things feel more real. Before we even knew what we where having, I had already started planning ideas for the nursery. Like I mentioned before, I’ll be splitting the office with the nursery (like so many of you said you do too!). I wanted the room to flow and match, even if it serves two purposes. So, without knowing the gender, I started thinking about pieces that would work well for us. I really wanted to pick items that would work in other areas of our home (if she outgrows them) or that would work with future babies, regardless of their sex.
I love a mix a of white/wood/gold/bronze, as you can see in this little style guide. I knew that would be the base for the room. From there, I want to find more gold + pink accents, making the room more feminine. We’re also still debating the whole rocker vs glider thing, I just love the design of this rocker! Moms, what’s your preference?
